KCIRI's tri-sonic wind tunnel completed a fresh round of settling-chamber trials, confirming stable flow quality across its full Mach 0.4–4 envelope with test durations of 30–40 seconds.
The facility produces three speed regimes in a single test section, giving aerospace teams a single rig for subsonic, transonic and supersonic characterisation. The latest analysis focused on flow uniformity ahead of the contraction, a key driver of measurement accuracy.
Work continues with the Centre of Excellence in Advanced Design, whose CFD pipeline models the tunnel before every physical run.
