Mach 0.4–4 · tri-sonic

The tri-sonic wind tunnel produces three speed regimes in a single test section — subsonic, transonic and supersonic — covering Mach 0.4 to 4 with test durations of 30–40 seconds. It supports aerodynamic characterisation of aerospace vehicles, backed by the Centre of Excellence in Advanced Design's CFD capability.

Scope of work
  • Three speed regimes in a single test section
  • Mach 0.4 to 4 test envelope
  • 30–40 second run duration
  • Paired with high-performance CFD for correlation
