Abstract:
M/s Trident Pneumatics (P) Ltd designs, develops and markets Heatless Air Dehumidification Systems of different capacities. A typical one is shown in Figure-1. Air at a high pressure and 100% RH enters the system for dehumidification, to a reach a dew point of -40°C. The objective of this analysis is to explore possibilities of reducing the cost of the chamber by either decreasing the size of the Desiccant Chamber or by reducing the quantity of Desiccants deployed inside. Since modelling the adsorption phenomenon is difficult, which is decided to perform a simulation of the flow, using CFD tool, Fluent, into the empty chamber to visualize possible flow pattern.

Application:

  • UAV’s flying at icing risk zone
