Abstract:
Premier Evolvics Private Limited, Coimbatore is engaged in design, development, manufacture and supply of Electronic Products for Textile Mill Applications. One of the products under development is meant for detection and removal of contaminants in the raw cotton used for spinning. This is to ensure the yarn spun is free from non-cotton contaminants such as jute, leaves or plastic fragments. Once, these contaminants are detected, removing them is achieved by sending in a high speed jet of air by operating a solenoid valve. The air ejector nozzles operated by the solenoid valves are placed at a definite distance downstream from the sensing point so that the time for their actuating can be determined by knowing the speed of the cotton tuft containing the contaminant flows at a particular location through the duct.

Application:

  • Spinning machine
  • Cotton mills
